The benefits of working with Europeople

• You will be paid weekly into your  bank account, which we will help you open if necessary, and you will also receive holiday pay. 

• All work is legal, with National Insurance contributions and PAYE tax deducted from your salary. These deductions can be shown to contribute to your ZUS office at home.

• Completion of all employment paperwork, and assistance with obtaining National Insurance numbers and opening bank accounts. 

• Opportunities are available for single candidates, as well as those with families. However, we recommend that you are confident about your decision to work in the UK before uprooting your family.

• Support from the Europeople recruitment team once you’ve found a job in the UK.

 What Europeople will expect from you

• To stay in regular contact with the Europeople team and inform us if you have any problems so that we can support you and offer help. 

• To look after the accommodation you are provided with. 

• To give us four weeks notice to take time off work for holidays.


 

Candidates from Europe Working in the UK

To work in the UK you must be legally entitled to do so. The information here provides background information on eligibility rules that govern working in the UK.

On your arrival in the UK Europeople will work with you to complete all employment paperwork.


 

Citizens of the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK

If you are a British citizen, a Swiss national or a national of a country in the European Economic Area (EEA) you do not need permission from the Home


 

Office to work in the UK

The EEA includes the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway are not members of the EU. However, the EEA Agreement gives nationals of these countries the same rights to enter, live in and work in the UK as EU citizens.

From 1 June 2002 Swiss nationals have had the same rights as EEA nationals within the UK and can work without a work permit.

Non-EU Nationals

If you are not an EU national you are not able to work in the UK without a valid work permit issued by the UK Government.


 

Workers Registration Scheme

 

As of May 2011 the WRS Scheme is now redundant and nationals from EU member states do not have to register to work in the UK.

How will you be paid?

• Europeople will provide you and your employer with weekly timesheets to record your hours.

• Complete the timesheet with your employer at the end of each week, ensuring that you have both signed it.

• Your employer will Email or Fax the timesheet to our payroll department. It must be received by the following Monday at noon to ensure payment that week.

• Timesheets received on time will be included in the Friday payroll run. The money will be transferred electronically to your bank account and your payslip will be sent to you in the post.

• Europeople operates a payroll system that will pay you a ‘week in hand’. This means you will need to bring enough money to purchase food and other essential items for the first two weeks.
